Team-Based Manhunt/Scavenger Hunt
Location: Public Streets and Spaces (New York, New York)

On October 17, 2009, Tailing Tilley (almost) invited players to track down Eustace Tilley, The New Yorker's iconic dandy. Dandy that he is, though, he stayed home that day due to cold, wet weather. Sissy. We were sad that the game was canceled.

It was all part of a game that Gigantic Mechanic and I were commissioned to make for the annual weekend-long New Yorker Festival. The rest of the festival was fantastic, and we'll hopefully have a chance to run the game in the Spring. Let's hope that dear old Eustace isn't prone to hayfever!

The sms-enabled game guides players through famous New Yorker-related locations throughout Manhattan where they'll get intelligence about where and when they can find Eustace Tilley. Teams compete to earn the most points in the afternoon by catching the gent, answering trivia, and visiting city sites.
